Paul has always taken pleasure selecting music for people to listen to, whether making mix tapes in the early 80s or presenting a radio show today, it has always been about a personal selection of music that he hopes other people will appreciate.

Soul music has been a hobby and passion for nearly 40 years as a punter, listener, collector, occasional DJ and radio presenter.

He started presenting a radio show on Active FM and SoulCity before joining Solar radio in 2004 where he presented a weekly radio show for over 10 years. In 2005 he started podcasting his weekly show which attracted new listeners downloading the show from all over the world. He continues to offer his radio shows via his own website www.raregroovesmodernsoul.com and Mixcloud

The show Rare grooves modern soul flavours is his eclectic personal selection of the music he loves. The format is predominately 60s, 70s and 80s soul, but also includes “The little bit of jazz in the middle” and maybe a little bit of funk, jazz-funk and the occasional ‘curved ball’

Mi-Soul Connoisseurs has given Paul the opportunity to bring his show to a wider audience once again
