Privacy Policy

It is the policy of Global Soul Radio to respect the privacy of our users, customers and industry contacts. That includes visitors to the website globalsoulradio.com, individuals who sign up to receive updates from us and relevant contacts within the music and journalism industries. We have created this privacy policy to explain how we collect, use, and store your information.

We collect data for different reasons. In this policy we will explain the different instances in which we need to collect it, the reason for doing so, and how you can opt out from us holding your data.

We send occasional emails for station marketing and events when you sign up to receive updates from us. You can opt-out at any time. The data for the lists is processed by Mailchimp. You can read more about Mailchimp in their privacy policy here https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/.

Our station and website currently operates using live broadcasting software called radio.co. This records the country and city where each show is listened to through your browser – but beyond this, no individual can be identified using the service. This information is stored securely and used to determine the station’s listenership and audience demographics as we develop Global Soul Radio. You can read more about radio.co in their privacy policy here https://radio.co/privacy. We may also use cookies to improve website usability.

You can contact us about our privacy policy, to make queries or to lodge a complaint, at this email address: info@globalsoulradio.com. You also have the right to contact the Information Commissioner’s Office about any complaints.

We collect data about relevant contacts within the music industry. We use this data to update them about projects or events which we think would be relevant to their work. We process that data securely, and ensure that it’s only accessible to relevant members of the team. It’s possible for them to contact us at any point to opt-out and request that we stop holding their data.
